SpeechLion is just a small application built on the Sphinx-4 speech recognition engine. Many thanks to the Sphinx-4 team for making this technology freely available.

Some of the inspiration for SpeechLion's operation comes from Xvoice, another open source speech recognition application. Unfortunately Xvoice depends on IBM's ViaVoice recognition engine which is no longer free for Linux users. SpeechLion probably wants to be Xvoice when it grows up.
